Dear Family and Friends,

We are looking forward to celebrating Lionel’s 60th birthday and hope you can join us! Please let us know if you will be with us for the party on June 9th using the RSVP form below.

For those of you traveling from afar, we advise booking your accommodations as soon as possible, as hotels are already filling up for June. As you make your plans, please note we will have a casual drop-in at our home on Wednesday June 8th for those of you arriving that day, as well as a light send-off breakfast on Friday June 10th. We will update this page with more details as we finalize plans, but please indicate with your RSVP if you intend on coming to these additional events.

In the heart of downtown Sausalito amidst its many shops and restaurants.
You can ferry to San Francisco from here.

ACQUA HOTEL MILL VALLEY | between Sausalito and Mill Valley

Modern boutique hotel situated on the picturesque shores of Richardson Bay in full view of Mt. Tamalpais. Two restaurants within walking distance, and views of the lagoon
 from their outdoor patio with fire pits. Short Uber ride to the party venue.

COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT | Larkspur Landing

Walking distance to Marin Country Mart, a boutique, open-air shopping village with stores and restaurants. Can ferry to San Francisco from here. 
This hotel is the closest to Joan and Lionel’s house.

MOUNT TAMALPAIS

Known locally as Mount Tam, there are abundant hiking and biking trails and 360-degree views from the Pacific Ocean to the San Francisco Bay. Here you can also visit the majestic old-growth redwood trees in Muir Woods, and dip your toes in the Pacific Ocean at Stinson Beach, one of the best places in Marin to see the sunset.

More biking and hiking here with views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.

SAN FRANCISCO

San Francisco is a short drive over the Golden Gate Bridge from Marin and offers many activities, attractions, fantastic restaurants, and art museums such as SFMOMA and the de Young.

NAPA/SONOMA 

California’s famous wine country is only a 45-minute drive from Marin and is perfect for a day-trip or weekend getaway.

BIG SUR + CARMEL

The 3.5-hour drive down the Pacific coast to Big Sur is spectacular.
Hotels in the area range from luxury oceanfront to rustic lodges.
Hike amongst redwoods to waterfalls at Pfeiffer State Park.
Carmel is just north of Big Sur and is an upscale beach town known for its art galleries, boutiques, fine restaurants and sprawling white sand beach.
