RED CARPET + NIGHT MARKET BAR MITZVAH

When we first sat down with the guest of honor and his family two things stood out immediately: his love for cuisine from around the world and his sophisticated fascination with Broadway and old Hollywood. He wasn’t interested in an ordinary party—he dreamed of a night that felt like a red carpet movie premiere with the energy of a global night market. So, we got to designing and planning, and that’s exactly what we created.

We transformed the iconic Sweetwater Music Hall in downtown Mill Valley into a dazzling fusion of Broadway elegance and international street food flair. Guests arrived and were greeted by vintage theater inspired red velvet draping, an old school styled photo booth with props, as well as custom movie posters featuring the Bar Mitzvah teen. 

But the real magic was in the food and energy. We designed a “Night Market” experience where guests could wander and sample cuisine from various corners of the globe—reuben sandwiches and latkes at the delicatessen, an italian inspired pizza shop,  a boba tea station, a chicken satay and noodles stand, plus sliders and fries— all served from themed stations styled like charming street stalls.

Plus, at the end of the evening the guests were treated to a sweet surprise—candy favor boxes styled like classic movie theater concessions. With a huge assortment of crowd-favorite treats, everyone left the celebration with a little something sweet!

From the heartfelt candle lighting ceremony to fun dance floor games, it was an unforgettable night that blended nostalgia, flavor, and youthful joy in a way that was totally unique!
