In Marin we celebrate the majestic outdoors as well as historic architecture. Both will be stars during your intimate wedding in Mill Valley. Northern California is blessed with summer like days into the Fall and crisp + beautiful Spring days, allowing us to celebrate outdoors for most of the year! You and your guests will enjoy the splendor of the quaint + private ceremony garden and a celebration on the arbor patio or inside the historic clubhouse.

Up to 35 guests will enter the grounds through a hidden gate where a woodsy garden ceremony spot awaits.

Once you've tied the knot your journey as a married couple begins along the path to the Arbor Patio. Amidst the garden you'll toast your nuptials with your nearest and dearest with beer, wine and bubbles as well as savor small bites + sweet treats to kick off this phase of your love story!

the venue

THE OUTDOOR ART CLUB is nestled in downtown Mill Valley and is the ideal venue for an outdoor garden ceremony. The Clubhouse, designed in 1904 by renowned Arts and Crafts architect Bernard Maybeck, is a Registered Historical Landmark and makes for a stunning backdrop for your nuptials. With its central location in Mill Valley, you will be able to find local lodging easily and establishments where you can dine following your intimate ceremony + mini celebration.

planning + design

38north Design Co. will be overseeing all of the design, styling and coordination with award-winning designer Stacey Dillon at the helm. Intimate and curated events have always been our specialty, so you can rest assured the logistics as well as the look will be impeccably handled with care! When selecting an intimate wedding format, we give you the most stylish wedding backdrop possible with many layers, special details and lots of unique touches.

florals + decor

The ceremony will include a lush display designed by our floral team with elements from local farm partners. We've allocated luxurious florals for the couple and two honor attendants. We can also procure additional corsages, boutonnieres, and bouquets for an additional fee. Following the ceremony, you'll be able to raise a glass on the patio as well as capture photos to share with those who can not be there on the day you exchange vows. Just because the affair is tiny, you won't miss out on celebrating in a stylish scene with well appointed decor and a lovely patio lounge too!

toasting the newlyweds

Although the timeline is quick, just two hours, you'll have plenty of time to exchange vows, take amazing photos, raise a glass and celebrate! We partner with the perfect vendor to pass small bites + pour drinks. Baked Blooms floral cupcakes will be the sweet ending to the festivities! UPGRADE OPTION: Add a curated catered meal, DJ + dancing to round out the event.

officiant + music

For each curated design and intimate wedding, we select an officiant we think will gel best with those who've select a particular venue and vibe. You will be responsible for securing your marriage license, but we will provide an experienced officiant to legally perform the commitment ceremony, personalizing it to fit your style! We also select a vendor to provide music to round out the mood. Of course you will be able to make requests and selections to ensure a toe tapping experience!

capturing memories

We'll select a premier and award winning photographer to tell your story. You will receive a minimum of 100 high resolution images with a Permission to Reproduce certificate. You can also add on a printed album with all your photos if you desire. We can also engage a videographer and/or the option for livestreaming your ceremony.

the design & vibe: secret garden + redwood grove

We're pulling together the iconic Redwoods, classics elements of white roses and florals along with eucalyptus greens. Decor will combine unique found items and vintage pieces, creating a rich and robust style, full of texture and varying shades of green.

If you have a favorite color you'd like to incorporate, you can add a pop of color, with your guest of honor attire or in your personal florals.

Although natural elements like greens and wood will be incorporated into the styling, the look is more luxurious than rustic with rich fabrics, hints of metal and glass with touches of elegance.
